why shot collar?
We got tired of seeing players distracted by stuck bat weights, telescoping handles, popping caps, smashing sensors, and breaking knobs. After Mike's son broke his own bat after only 4 days when trying to remove a traditional bat weight, Shot Collar was born. On the field and in life, we aim to find solutions and go beyond the norm.

Which Shot Collar weight should I buy: 16 oz, 20 oz, or 24 oz?
Choose your Shot Collar weight based on the player’s size, strength, and level of development.
- 16 oz: Great for youth players under 140 pounds.
- 20 oz: Recommended for players around 145 pounds and above, most JV players, and varsity players looking to get loose.
- 24 oz: Recommended for players over 190 pounds, stronger JV and varsity players, and collegiate or professional hitters.
Can I hit with the Shot Collar on?
No. Shot Collar is a weighted bat training aid designed for dry swings on deck and during practice. It is not intended for hitting baseballs or softballs. For hitters looking for a training aid that can be used during tee work, flips, or live batting practice, check out La Bomba (coming soon).
How do I put my Shot Collar on?
Slide Shot Collar down over the barrel with the panel openings facing down toward the bat. Once it is on the barrel, the flex panels open to fit different barrel sizes.
Give it a simple push with your thumb to seat it in place. Do not slam it on.
How does Shot Collar come off the bat?
Shot Collar is designed to twist or tap off when training is complete. Its patented Flex-to-Fit Technology grips the bat during training without requiring you to force it on.
How long does shipping usually take?
Orders placed on the Shot Collar website usually arrive within one week of purchase. Orders are usually fulfilled within 3 business days of purchase and shipping times may vary after fulfillment based on carrier timing and destination.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, Shot Collar ships only within the United States, including all 50 states.
How can I customize my Shot Collar?
If you do not see your preferred color combination in the shop, order the Shot Collar closest to what you want and add a note at checkout with your requested color swap.
Think of it like the secret menu. If the pieces are available in the shop, we will do our best to build the combo you want.
What is La Bomba?
La Bomba (coming soon) is Shot Collar’s softball version. It can also be used by baseball players as a traditional bat weight and as an overload training aid for tee work, flips, and live batting practice.
Does Shot Collar have a warranty?
Yes. Shot Collar includes a two-year warranty.
