Shot Collar: Tell us a little about yourself.
Cam: My name is Cam Smith. I play for Florida State baseball and I'm from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Shot Collar: What is your pre-game prep?
Cam: My pre-game prep is pretty simple. I show up to the field two hours before we have to be on the field for batting practice. I get nice and loose and stretched out before I go in the cages to take a few hacks off the tee and get some flips in before we head out on the field.
Shot Collar: What is your pre-AB mindset?
Cam: My pre-AB mindset is pretty simple. I just like to keep things simple. I would say I just remind myself to stay calm, take a few breaths. Just remember that it's just a kids’ game. Go out there and have fun. That’s what I think about.
Shot Collar: What is your in-game routine from the dugout to the plate?
Cam: So my in-game routine from the dugout to the plate is kind of the same as my pre-AB prep. Take a few breaths. Remind yourself who you are why you're at the position you're at. Know you belong there. Just that little bit of confidence is what helps me out as I go to the plate. And yeah, I’m ready to go after that.
