Shot Collar® Original is our patented bat weight built specifically for baseball dry swings, on-deck warm-ups, and overload training. It is available in 16 oz, 20 oz, and 24 oz options and is not designed for hitting balls while attached.
La Bomba™ is our patented Live-Hitting Trainer for baseball, fastpitch softball, and slow pitch softball. It is designed to stay on the bat during tee work, front toss, flips, soft toss, and live batting practice.
The two products serve different parts of training: Shot Collar Original prepares baseball players through heavier dry swings, while La Bomba allows baseball and softball players to continue resistance training through contact.
Absolutely. Many baseball players use both because each tool serves a different purpose.
A baseball player may begin with Shot Collar® Original for dry swings, on-deck warm-ups, and heavier overload training. The player can then transition to La Bomba™ for tee work, front toss, flips, soft toss, and live batting practice.
Shot Collar Original is built specifically for baseball bats. La Bomba is built for live hitting with baseball, fastpitch softball, and slow pitch softball bats.
Softball players can create their own two-tool system by training with both La Bomba Quick at 7.5 oz and La Bomba Power at 9¾ oz for two distinct resistance levels and training feels.

Choose your Shot Collar Original weight based on the baseball player’s size, strength, experience, and training goals.
- 16 oz: A strong starting point for younger athletes and many players under approximately 140 pounds.
- 20 oz: Recommended for many players around 145 pounds and above, including JV players and varsity players looking to get loose.
- 24 oz: Recommended for larger or stronger players, including many athletes over approximately 190 pounds and collegiate or professional hitters seeking heavier overload resistance.
Shot Collar Original is designed specifically for baseball dry swings and warm-up routines.
Both La Bomba options are designed for live-hitting training. The difference is the resistance level and how each one feels during the swing.
- Quick | 7.5 oz: A lighter training feel for rhythm, barrel awareness, bat control, and higher-volume hitting work.

Yes. La Bomba has a 2⅛-inch inside diameter designed to accommodate slimmer softball barrels while also fitting baseball bats.
On softball bats, La Bomba fits the slimmer barrel profile. On baseball bats, it naturally sits lower on the bat, just above the handle.
Its patented Flex-to-Fit™ design allows the connected panels to flex open and adapt across different barrel sizes.

Traditional bat donuts and loose bat weights can feel like separate accessories moving on the bat.
La Bomba uses flexible material and patented Flex-to-Fit™ technology to hug the bat securely. Testers describe the result as feeling like part of the bat rather than a clunky accessory.
The connected fit is also designed to stay quiet and secure without the distracting rattle athletes often notice with looser weighted trainers.
Do not slam the unit onto the bat. Shot Collar Original and La Bomba are designed to grip the bat, so excessive force is not necessary.
- Drop the unit over the bat barrel.
- Let the flexible panels open naturally around the barrel.
- Give the unit a small push with your thumb to seat it securely.
- Take your training swings.
The patented Flex-to-Fit™ design allows the panels to flex open to accommodate different bat profiles.
When training is complete, remove the unit with a simple twist or a few light taps.
Think of the tapping motion like gently dribbling a basketball: a few controlled taps help release the unit from the bat. There is no need to yank it off or use excessive force.

Both products use patented Flex-to-Fit™ technology designed to grip the bat without scratching, digging into, or damaging the barrel during normal use.
Let the panels flex around the bat and use a gentle thumb push to seat the unit. Do not slam it onto the barrel.

After the order leaves our facility, allow approximately three additional business days for carrier delivery. Most customers should expect to receive their order in about one week, although carrier timing and destination can affect the final delivery date.
La Bomba preorders are anticipated to begin shipping in late September to early October 2026.
We will provide production and shipping updates by email. Once your La Bomba is ready, our team will carefully assemble and package your selected training feel, body color, and silicone band combination.
